UK's largest courier company, Evri (formerly Hermes), plans to hire 9,000 new staff across the UK, primarily in Scotland, due to rising demand for deliveries. The company will expand its workforce of self-employed couriers to 28,000, allowing it to deliver up to four million parcels on busy days. The hiring spree follows Evri's acquisition by Apollo Global Management for £2.7 billion.
