Thailand's longest train tunnel, Pha Sadet, temporarily closed due to dust complaints; contractor ordered to clean within 14 days.

Thailand's longest train tunnel, Pha Sadet, temporarily closed after opening due to complaints of thick dust from passengers. The 5.4-km tunnel is part of State Railway of Thailand's new double-track railway to the Northeast and was expected to reduce travel time. The contractor has been ordered to clean the tunnel within 14 days; until then, trains will use the old route, adding 17 minutes to travel time between Map Krabao and Muak Lek stations.
