Power Grid Corp of India plans a Rs 40,000 crore undersea interconnection project with Middle Eastern countries like Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE within six years. The project aims for a 4-5% revenue growth by FY25 and involves establishing a high-voltage direct current cable with a capacity of up to 2,500 MW. The company aims to invest Rs 18,000 crore this fiscal year to fund new projects and accelerate growth.
