1,000 Kia Niro hybrids recalled due to manufacturing defect causing potential fire risk.
Kia is recalling over 1,000 Niro hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles due to a manufacturing defect that poses a fire risk. Moisture may enter the Printed Circuit Board in the Hydraulic Clutch Actuator, leading to an electrical short circuit and potential vehicle fire. Affected Niro owners should contact a Kia dealership to have the HCA inspected and replaced at no cost. The recall does not affect electric Niro models.
