New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) members at Thames Hospital's Emergency Department (ED) stage a rally on 27 July to address constant understaffing and increased workloads, causing burnout. The Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) programme recommends 44 new FTEs, but none have been approved. The union calls on the government to fund proper patient care at the ED.
