Job Centre security guards, part of G4S, begin their fourth week-long strike due to pay disputes.

Job Centre security guards, part of G4S, begin their fourth week-long strike amid ongoing pay disputes. GMB union claims 1,500 members, who allege being paid minimum wage and forced to do unpaid training, will participate. G4S denies the claims and offers a 6.5% pay rise from April 2023 and an average 9.3% increase from Dec 2023 to Apr 2024. DWP warns of potential Job Centre closures and delays for claimants during the strike.
