Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) protested against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey's proposal to declare parts of Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar as Union Territories to counter infiltration from Bangladesh. JMM accused BJP of a long-term plan to divide Jharkhand, claiming it a part of a well-thought-out conspiracy. They also criticized the BJP for attempting to create a communal and social divide in Jharkhand ahead of assembly polls.
