Georgia's largest opposition party, United National Movement, filed a lawsuit against the "foreign agent" law in the Constitutional Court, joining Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who signed a challenge against the legislation on July 16. Thirty-two opposition lawmakers signed the lawsuit on July 22. The law, signed on June 4, has raised concerns as it may jeopardize Georgia's aspirations to join the European Union.
