The announcement comes as the country's Foreign Affairs Minister, Penny Wong, attends a Quad foreign ministers' meeting in Tokyo. The Quad, a diplomatic partnership between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States, aims to support the stable development of the Indo-Pacific, which is strategically vital to the global economy.
