Assam police seized Rs 9 crore worth of methamphetamine tablets, known as Yaba tablets, in Cachar district, arresting a drug peddler, Abdul Alim. A two-wheeler used for drug transportation was also confiscated. The drugs are suspected to be smuggled from Myanmar and sent to other Indian parts through Assam. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the police's efforts.
