28-year-old Summerville woman, Tonya Frey, died in a head-on collision on US Highway 52, one mile north of Bonneau. The crash occurred at 5:10 p.m. on Friday involving a 2011 Toyota SUV and a 2008 Toyota pickup truck. Both drivers were injured and transported to area hospitals, while the passenger in the SUV, Frey, succumbed to her injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
