A case was registered against a woman in Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol district for allegedly branding a 3-year-old child with a hot tawa. The woman, Geeta Kol, who does not have children, had adopted the boy from her sister-in-law two months prior. Neighbors informed the boy's mother, who resides in Rewa district, about the alleged assault.
