A 36-year-old Chesterton man was killed in a high-speed rear-end collision with a box truck on I-80/94 eastbound in Lake County, Indiana. The crash occurred at 2:30 a.m. near the 8-mile marker between Burr and Grant Street exits. A 2024 Honda Civic, driven by the deceased, left the roadway and crashed into a stopped box truck due to a mechanical failure. The driver was found unresponsive and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
