Wanderers player Willie Leoso banned until 2026 for threatening referee during a game.
Wanderers prop Willie Leoso has been banned until at least the start of the 2026 season for using threatening words towards referee Richard Parker. The incident occurred during a game against Maitland on July 6, where Leoso was sent off in the second half. Leoso was charged with dissent and sentenced to a 24-match suspension after being found guilty by the judiciary. Wanderers have lodged an appeal with the Hunter Rugby Appeals Committee.
