US tests low-cost QUICKSINK bomb to sink decommissioned ship during naval drills, observed by China.

The US has successfully practiced using a low-cost bomb, named QUICKSINK, to sink a major surface ship in a test during the world's largest naval drills off the Hawaiian island of Kauai. A US Air Force B-2 bomber hit a decommissioned amphibious assault ship, ex-USS Tarawa, demonstrating the US military's ability to utilize one of its most survivable platforms. China has taken notice of this development.
