UNESCO added Romanian modernist Constantin Brancusi's outdoor sculptures in Targu Jiu, including the 'Endless Column' and 'Gate of the Kiss', to its World Heritage list. Created in 1937-1938 as a tribute to WWI soldiers, these installations are among the few Brancusi works still in Romania. The recognition mandates preserving them for future generations and cultural memory.
