President Droupadi Murmu accepts Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit's resignation, replacing him with Gulab Chand Kataria as new Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh. This follows a series of gubernatorial appointments and reshuffles, with Lakshman Prasad Acharya appointed as the new Assam Governor and given additional charge of Manipur, and Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan being appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra. President Murmu also appointed six new Governors and shifted three others.
