Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde urges Centre to expedite Marathwada Water Grid project for river linking to make Marathwada drought-free. The project aims to utilize rainwater in Konkan, increase irrigation, and redirect water from Sangli, Kolhapur, and Konkan to the Godavari basin in Marathwada. Shinde requested the Centre's help to speed up river linking projects in the state.
