12,800 kg of ammonium nitrate, a controlled chemical, were seized by Myanmar's police in Shan state after a tip-off led to the search of a 12-wheeler vehicle in Tachileik township. The Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) reported the drugs had an estimated street value of $120,000. Three suspects have been charged under the related law and further investigation is underway.
