J&K's Administrative Council led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha approved additional subsidy from the UT budget for PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana implementation. The scheme, launched by PM Modi, aims to install rooftop solar plants in one crore households by March 31, 2027, providing up to 300 units of free electricity per month. Beneficiaries must pay upfront and receive Central Financial Assistance (CFA) directly.
