Japanese climber Naoko Watanabe sets world record by scaling K2, the world's second-highest peak, for the third time. Meanwhile, Nepalese climber Mingtemba Sherpa reached the summit for the fourth time, and Mingma Gyalje Sherpa also climbed K2 for the fifth time. A total of nine climbers from 8K Expeditions successfully scaled K2, including six Nepalis, two Chinese, and a Portuguese climber.
