FAAs investigates Southwest Airlines flights for low-altitude incidents in Florida and Oklahoma City.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating two low-altitude incidents involving Southwest Airlines flights. On July 14, Southwest Flight 425 flew at an unusually low altitude of 150 feet over water, five miles from its intended landing spot at Tampa International Airport, Florida, before landing in Fort Lauderdale. This incident follows a similar low-altitude flight in Oklahoma City in June. The FAA is examining these incidents to understand and address any irregularities, and Southwest Airlines emphasized their commitment to the safety of their customers and employees.
