Everton is set to sign Lyon defender Jake O'Brien on a five-year contract, as the Toffees stand firm on Manchester United target Jarrad Branthwaite. The club has reportedly agreed a deal for the Irish defender, who currently plays for Ligue 1 side Lyon. Fabrizio Romano confirms the deal, stating that O'Brien will soon undergo a medical ahead of a permanent switch to Everton. The deal with Lyon is estimated to be around £17m.
