Natchitoches Parish corrections deputy, Robert Lowring, 62, has been arrested for malfeasance in office and sexual battery following an investigation into alleged misconduct with a female inmate. The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office began the investigation after receiving a complaint and Lowring was terminated following his arrest. Major Roger Henson emphasized that the allegations do not represent the majority of correctional officers.
