Former Ottawa Senators assistant coach Bob Jones has died at 54 years old, following a battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Jones worked with the Senators for five seasons and was known for becoming a vocal advocate for ALS research and awareness after his diagnosis. Before joining the Senators, Jones had a successful coaching career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and the American Hockey League.
