The historic schooner Bowdoin, operated by Maine Maritime Academy, has completed a 5,000-mile Arctic voyage after a 16-year absence. The 103-year-old vessel, designed for Arctic voyages, returned to its home in Castine, Maine on July 26th. The eight-week expedition aimed to gather data on ocean salinity, temperature, and biodiversity, as well as providing hands-on experience for the nine maritime students on board.
