Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence reported a surge in PLA activity near the Taiwan Strait, detecting 4 PLAN vessels and 1 official ship as of Saturday morning. No PLA aircraft were detected. The Ministry closely monitored the situation and stated that incursions by PLA military aircraft and vessels into Taiwan's ADIZ are not uncommon but have escalated tensions.
