Penticton's Okanagan Lake Beach issued a swimming advisory due to high E.coli levels. The City of Penticton and Interior Health found 2,500 colony-forming units of E.coli per 100 ml sample, exceeding the safe limit of 400 units. The affected area spans from S.S. Sicamous to just west of Power Street. Interior Health will continue testing water until E.coli levels drop to acceptable levels according to Health Canada's guidelines.
