The New York Mets have acquired right-handed reliever Ryne Stanek from the Seattle Mariners in a trade, strengthening their bullpen before the MLB trade deadline. In exchange for Stanek, the Mets sent minor-league outfielder Rhylan Thomas to the Mariners. Stanek, 33, posted a 4.38 ERA in 39.0 innings this season, which included seven saves in 11 opportunities.
