New Orleans woman Anne Breaud has filed a $1 million federal lawsuit against Mayor LaToya Cantrell, accusing her of civil rights violations and defamation. Breaud claims Cantrell falsely accused her of stalking and alleges that police officers illegally accessed her state and federal background information. This lawsuit comes after Cantrell filed a state court lawsuit accusing Breaud of stalking in May, which was later dismissed.
