Nebraska fisherman catches unrecorded Longear sunfish, not an invasive species.

A Nebraska fisherman caught a new, colorful fish species in the state, described as "bright orange with turquoise." The fish, a Longear sunfish, had not been documented in Nebraska before. Daryl Bauer, Fisheries Outreach program manager of the state's Game & Parks Commission, said most new species found are invasive, but this discovery is significant as it's not a typical invasive species.
