Sharad Pawar, NCP leader and MP, responded to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's "Godfather of corruption" remark by recalling Shah's externment from Gujarat. In a speech, Pawar said it was strange that a person who misused the law of Gujarat and was banned from the state by the Supreme Court was leading the Union Home Ministry. Pawar's remarks came after Shah called Pawar the "commander of all the corrupt people in the country."
