310-mile Lewis & Clark Regional Water System pipeline completed in Sibley, providing water supply to southeast SD, SW MN, and NW IA.

20-year project, the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System's 310-mile transmission pipeline reached completion in Sibley with a "golden spike" ceremony. Costing over $300M, the system provides a consistent water supply to southeast South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, and northwest Iowa, with Sibley's connection expected in October. The full system, including the treatment plant, is scheduled for completion in 2028.
