The Indian government has extended the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) by two months, up to September 30, increasing the budget to Rs 778 crore. The scheme, initially set to run from April 1 to July 31, aims to support 5,60,789 electric vehicles, including 5,00,080 electric two-wheelers and 60,709 electric three-wheelers, promoting green initiatives and fostering growth in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry.
