Hawaii's Department of Transportation (HDOT) has released a request for proposals (RFP) to remove and likely dismantle the historic 145-year-old sailing ship Falls of Clyde. The vessel has been severely compromised, with a 2023 report warning of a strong risk of sinking. The state has deregistered the ship as a National Historical Landmark and plans to sell it for disposal.
