Two GOCs have taken charge of two army divisions in Kashmir: Major General K. Mohan Nair appointed to the Vajr Division and Major General Vivek Narang to the Army's counter-insurgency division, Kilo Force. Major General K. Mohan Nair succeeded Major General Girish Kalia, while Major General Vivek Narang replaced Major General Mohit Seth. Both new commanders have extensive military experience.
