Consumers Energy Foundation donated $250,000 to Grand Rapids' Community Food Club, a nonprofit addressing food insecurity. The grant will improve infrastructure, purchase equipment, and increase capacity to serve 3,500 more people monthly, with enhancements including a produce cooler, additional storage, and software updates. The donation is part of the Consumers Energy Foundation's $1.5m grant allocations for 2024.
