The Canadian Government, through FedNor, has announced a $1 million investment to support economic development in Northcentral Ontario. This funding will assist four projects, including hiring Economic Development Officers (EDOs) in the Townships of Wawa, Hornepayne, and Dubreuilville, and providing a forestry technician for Michipicoten First Nation. The initiatives aim to diversify the economy, maximize the potential of municipalities and rural communities, and create jobs within the region.
