The Indian government has deployed two BSF battalions with over 2,000 personnel from Odisha to the terror-hit Jammu and Kashmir region along the India-Pakistan border, in response to recent spikes in terror attacks. The decision to relocate the battalions was taken to strengthen security and counter the escalating threats in the region. The two battalions, previously engaged in anti-Naxal operations, are now being positioned in Samba and near the Jammu-Punjab border.
