Badain Jaran Desert in China, known for its "Towers of Sand and Lakes," is included in UNESCO's World Heritage List following a successful review process during the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in New Delhi, India. The desert, located in Inner Mongolia, is the country's third-largest and second-largest drifting desert. This marks China's 15th World Natural Heritage site, leading globally in total number of World Natural Heritage sites.
