30-yr-old sex offender, Roger Vanwormer, sentenced to 20 years for attempting to sexually exploit a minor.
30-year-old Deschutes County man, Roger Clint Lee Vanwormer, who was on probation for sex offenses, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for requesting explicit images from and arranging to meet with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Vanwormer was arrested in Bend on July 27, 2021, after showing up at the arranged meeting location. He pleaded guilty to one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a child.
