56-year-old Joseph K. McLendon, a Nauvoo resident, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Thursday in Walker County, Alabama. The single-vehicle accident occurred at 11:30 am on New Oak Grove Road near Busby Church Road when McLendon's 1986 Yamaha FZ600 left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned, throwing him from the motorcycle. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
