33-year-old Anitra Burks, Milwaukee stepmother, is charged with intentional homicide and child neglect for the death of her 6-year-old stepson, Zane Adams. She admitted to being his sole caretaker and claimed the injuries were self-inflicted due to behavioral issues. Despite lifesaving efforts, Zane died after being admitted to the hospital with "bruises head to toe".
