West Virginia AG seeks US Supreme Court review of Medicaid transgender care exclusion.

West Virginia's Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the state's refusal to cover certain transgender health care under Medicaid, arguing that officials in states with limited resources should have discretion over allocating resources. The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals previously ruled that West Virginia's exclusion of gender-affirming surgeries was discriminatory.
