Walmart plans to invest $200m in self-driving forklifts from Fox Robotics, as part of a broader strategy to increase automation in warehouse operations and compete with Amazon. The company has already invested $25m in Fox Robotics and aims to purchase potentially hundreds of autonomous forklifts. Analysts predict Walmart could add $20bn to its profit by 2029 due to automation and AI efforts.
