US Department of Energy launches $48.6m offshore wind R&D funding opportunity.
The US Department of Energy's Wind Energy Technologies Office (WETO) launched a $48.6m offshore wind R&D funding opportunity. Projects addressing floating offshore wind platforms, fixed-bottom foundations, offshore wildlife protection, domestic supply chain expansion, and lightning protection solutions are eligible for funding. This is one of DOE's largest offshore wind investments, with support from the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.
