Tropical Storm Bud formed in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, approximately 425 miles south-southwest of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph. Little change in strength is expected through Thursday, but the storm is forecast to dissipate by the weekend. It currently moves west-northwest at around 16 mph, with a turn to the west expected later today or early tomorrow.
