RSPCA seeks info on lesser black-backed gull shot with airgun in Wisbech, rescued and treated.

The RSPCA is seeking information after a lesser black-backed gull was shot with an airgun in Wisbech and found in a garden on Sherwood Avenue. The adult male bird was rescued by RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer John Woods and taken to RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Hospital for treatment, where a pellet was removed. The gull's prognosis is currently guarded, but the public's prompt reporting aided the rescue.
