1 person killed in I-85 crash in Orange County, NC; lanes reopened. The fatal accident on I-85 northbound near the I-40 split caused traffic delays and lane closures. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that occurred around 5:40 a.m. All northbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours but reopened at 7:51 a.m. More details will be released as they become available.
