Nigerian musician Charly Boy honors late benefactor Iwuanyanwu for rescuing his career in 1981.

Nigerian musician and activist Charly Boy paid tribute to late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, who supported and rescued his music career in 1981 after he disowned his parents. Iwuanyanwu, the former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, gave Charly Boy $8,000 to establish a studio and kickstart his career. Charly Boy expressed gratitude to Iwuanyanwu, calling him the first Nigerian to believe in his dreams.
